Plus it's a bigger deal than last week b/c of the early weigh-in. Lemieux weighed in on Friday at ~5pm. Jacobs weighed in on Friday at 9am. That's an extra 8 hours Jacobs has to rehydrate.
Lemieux atleast had the honor of stepping on the HBO scales before he got into the ring and weighed in a reasonable 177lbs. Lets see if Danny agrees to show his true weight before the fight.

again....
my favorite fighters going for belts does not make a difference to me.
not quite that hard to understand and ive been complaining about these belt orgz just like everyone else.
How long has it been since they, ABCs, have been talking about unifying all the divisons etc... they even had some sort of meeting in mexico like 2 years ago....
nothing has changed.
You have a mandatory, and you will fight him on this date. you have enough time to do big money voluntaries inbetween. if you get injured, you will fight your mando first when you are back.
rather than
You have a mandatory, you can keep the belt hostage right up until thats called and not fight anyone in the top 5 ask for an extension and then get injured whilst training for that fight and then when you get back you can have a tune up fight and then call out everybody with a belt who already has fights signed. meanwhile whilst all this is going on we will do absolutely nothing in terms of eliminators and you can fight your first mandatory over two and a half years after winning your belt.

I didn't give Lemieux **** for it last week so I'm certainly not going to give Jacobs **** for it either this week. Lets see if HBO can be consistent because Kellerman and Lampley said last week that as long as a fighter makes weight it doesn't matter who much he weights fight night or something like that and it was other defending Lemieux as well but I certainly don't expect most on this forum to be consistent!Last edited by sicko; 03-18-2017, 02:27 PM.

Just because Lem was ranked with the IBF and jacobs isnt doesnt mean anything.. they both made the same choice for the same reasons.
One isnt a cheater while the other is, they either both are or both arent.
