Double standards and biased favouritism for black americans as usual...
Lemieux cheated. Jacobs didn't cheat by skipping the 2nd day weigh-in

none of which has anything to do with the fact that Jacobs agreed to the rules when he agreed to fight for the IBF title, and then changed his mind this morning and opted out.
And he was well within his rights to do that, but its the exact same thing Lemieux did
Trying to make this look like something different is just fanboy spinComment

http://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/i...nnady-golovkinWhen the fight was made, Jacobs committed to fighting for all of Golovkin's belts. By ditching the IBF challenge, Jacobs will save himself the sanctioning fee that will go with the IBF, which might prove to be a wise decision because Golovkin is a heavy favorite to win.Comment

Lemieux-Stevens was an IBF eliminator. If the IBF knew Lemieux had no intention of following the rules would they have ordered the fight?
Golovkin-Jacobs was happening with or without the IBF, without would have resulted in Golovkin being stripped.

you make no sense. Golovkin does not have an IBF mando due, so he can fight whomever he wants, as long as the IBF approves it. Even if Jacobs decided against fighting for the IBF way back when the fight got made, GGG still would not have been stripped. Same as Judah didnt get stripped when Baldomir passed on fighting for the IBF
The only thing thats changed since then, is if im not mistaken nowdays if the champ makes weight and loses, the title becomes vacant instead of the champ keeping it like in the Judah-Baldomir case. But its been several years since I talked to Lindsey Tucker about that so im not 100% certain about the vacant thing......Last edited by OnePunch; 03-18-2017, 01:11 PM.Comment

Gotcha, yeah the phone makes it hard to write in spanish, it automatically changes some of the words that aren't in English.
I thought I read it through before submitting, however, it's still pretty easy to understand it was supposed to say "verdaderamente".
Not any worse than what some native English speakers write here sometimes in English.Comment

Nothing against you personally you're a decent Poster on this forum for the most part but you kinda put yourself in a very hypocritical situation. So does the people he was DEFENDING LEMIUEX last week but now will try to attack Jacobs for doing the exact same thing that Lemieux didDanny Jacobs is the WBA mandatory which doesn't require a second say weigh-in. Lemieux fought and IBF eliminator which requires a second day weigh-in. As IBF champion, GGG has to make that 2nd day weight if he wants to keep the belt, regardless of what his opponent does.
Let me explain it again for the slow people in the back
Lemieux agreed to fight for an eliminator that requires a 2nd day weigh-in. If Lemieux informed Stevens that he wouldn't be weighing in the second day Stevens could've skipped the second day weigh-in as well.
Jacobs is the mandatory for a title that doesn't require a 2nd day weigh-in. If Jacobs informed GGG that he's not weighing in the second day as the IBF champ GGG still has to weigh in under the limit the second day. He doesn't have a choice if he wants to keep the belt.
Even Max Kellerman and Jim Lampley defended Lemieux last week saying that Lemieux made weight so it doesn't matter what he re-hydrates up toComment
