The problem for Jacobs is that his chin is not good. To get knocked down by Mora is really bad, so what happens when Golovkin catches him? Obvious to know, but take nothing away from Jacobs, a world class fighter with very good skill.

They're both dangerous fights for GGG. Everyone said Jacobs was scared and now he's fighting him. Don't think Canelo is afraid of him either. If GGG beats Jacobs I think the Canelo fight happens early to mid 2018. Then we can stop with all the what-ifs. Fingers crossed.

If he did that with canelo leaves himself open for counters gets put to sleep. Instead he was on his bike going backwards never engaging for long content losing rounds but not getting knocked out. It's about styles and his style he chose was low risk against canelo. So canelo easily out boxed cotto to win. It was up to cotto to switch it up take more risks he was losing and ultimately lost the fight.

Idiots said cotto was going to knockout canelo when he lost somehow the fact cotto got on his bike to prevent getting kod is a negative for canelo? SMH
Excellent post! Totally agree with you!

I have actually brought this up in the past. Canelo is obviously the bigger fight, but I'm not entirely sure it's the more difficult fight. The problem is Jacobs' damn chin though. I can see GGG having some serious trouble. If he runs through him, he's a truly elite fighter.

I think they're both dangerous for Golovkin. Jacobs has the power to hurt Golovkin. Once Jacobs hurt his opponents you know he is going for the kill. We've never seen Golovkin hurt so we don't know how he'll react. Canelo's chin and durability will keep him in the fight. I don't think Golovkin will be able to impose his will on Canelo like he does with every other fighter. Canelo also his his own way of breaking down his opponent.

Jacobs could get Golovkin out there in one round, as he did with Quillin.

Of course he's a much bigger threat.

Canelo has nowhere near the same amount of power. Canelo would have to outbox Golovkin, and no-one has seemed to be able to do that with much success. I don't think Canelo isn't a great boxer type either, as seen with Lara, Trout, Floyd and Cotto. Canelo also hasn't faced anyone with half the power that Golovkin has.

Who's more likely to go 12 and win a decision vs GGG? There's your answer.

And GGG can get Jacobs out in 1 round.

He can't do that to Canelo.

And who has ever seen Cotto fight like that before??? It was a GREAT plan by Roach I admit and Cotto's only chance of winning. They were training Cotto to fight to Canelo's weakness. Like Lara and floyd did. Canelo isn't that good at cutting off the ring and has some stamina issues. It didn't work but Cotto also didn't get KTFO either.
