Comments Thread For: Is Daniel Jacobs A Bigger Threat To Golovkin Than Canelo?

By Andreas Hale - Anybody who has been watching boxing for an extended period of time is aware of the significance of this weekend's Gennady Golovkin vs. Daniel Jacobs fight. There is no doubt that, this is GGG's stiffest test to date against an opponent with a decorated amateur background, a penchant for keeping the judges out of his fights and a true middleweight who has all of the ability to give Golovkin all he can handle for as long as the fight goes on Saturday night...

Jacoobs - The harder fight - Pay $2.5 million - Makes fight.

    Canelo - Easy fight - $15 million - Won't sign contract.

    Makes sense.

From a boxing standpoint the answer is obvious. Danny is much more of a threat, but Canelo brings that $$$

Danny is a serious threat to GGG than Canelo because he is a true middleweight with a high knockout ratio.

This writer is either an HBO hype man or a GGG **** rider. Let's not take into account the caliber of opponents and just name anyone knocking out bums in a **** division as p4p... smh. Canelo > Jacobs in skill level easily. Jacobs is being overrated to make GGG look better than his **** resume really is. This guy will probably have a wank after GGG does the predictable and knocks out Jacobs.

                Hell to the no...
I like making points for the unpopular perspective and getting people to see things another way but Canelo is the more Dangerous fighter for GG's style. I don't think Canelo has ever been knocked down, let alone in real trouble. That's important when facing a guy like GGG. Sergio Mora had Danny on the canvas, with jelly legs after...

I think Canelo is lot more rounded and tighter defensively, Danny is bigger but has a habit coming in with his head up when he throws combos I expect GGG to catch him in between shots, Danny is explosive so is Canelo.

Over all Canelo is a better fighter and will be better groomed by the time they actually fight.
