    At least it was free.

No one was being asked to pay to watch the likes of Jeff Horn for example.

He's not wrong, the fight was too cagey and there was very little memorable moments.

        Lmao

Thurman and Freddie Roach would be the perfect team.

They both always talk about going for KOs, but the safe bet is UD 12.

Thurman had a good performance early in the fight. He just made the big mistake of coasting and playing it safe the last few rounds, which is a big no-no against a guy like Garcia who is known to get the win in questionable decisions.

I'm a Thurman fan, but I was frustrated and yelling at my TV because I really thought he was giving the fight away and one judge actually did give the fight to Garcia.

I really miss the old school mentality of not leaving the fight to the judges, regardless of how far ahead you are. A guy like prime Sugar Ray Leonard always put on a show for the fans, even his "running" was entertaining to watch.

And younger fighters wonder why they can't draw ****.

Aside from the last 2 rounds, it was Thurman who was the only one trying to make it a fight. Danny was just following him around the ring like a stiff mummy waiting to counter.

I have to agree with Bob. He is right. It was the farthest thing from a crowd pleasing fight than one can get as the crowd was beginning to boo due to the lack of action by the 7th round.

After the first few initial rounds, the fight settled into being nothing more than just a virtual stalemate; Where neither fighter was willing to engage or give an inch as both were attempting to out think the other.

As a result, the bout became more of a tactical and scientific match.

This is ******. The fight had 5.1 million tuning in in the 12th and final round and averaged 3.74 million viewers.

Arum's opinion on the fight is irrelevant. Match Manny and Thurman up in a unification fight.

can you imagine a baseball fan being mad at their pitcher for not allowing home runs. the Spurs were called boring for many years, should they have changed their style even though it won them titles?

if the only form of "excitement" in boxing is two guys standing in one place punching each other senseless what is the point of a ring? why not tie them at the waist with cinder blocks on their ankles and let them bomb away.

Thurman showed theres others layers to his game. his boxing has improved dramatically. but who cares he should've stayed in the pocket all night. why utilize his other "boring" skills.

he whooped Garcia at close range then schooled him with pot shots and counters. a brilliant display of skills.
Or, could you imagine watching a Superbowl with a score that ends in 3-0 in overtime? Who wants to see that?

Boxing is one thing, but you can both box and fight at the same time. Gonzalez/Cuadras was a recent example of that.
