Broner can't make 140. I feel like more than once he's been scheduled for a 140 fight but couldn't make the weight

Embarrassed?? He landed 13 more punches and was booed for running.

Yeah, Broner vs Algieri would probably happen at 147. Both would be better off at 140 if they could get there though. Who knows if they can at this point. As you said, Broner has seemingly thrown in the towel on it.

Danny landed a higher percentage of his punches and despite throwing a hundred more punches Thurman only managed to land a measly13 more punches on the night. He landed a couple of good shots, but Danny didn't go down and walked through him the rest of the night.

I agree that Algieri jabs the hell out of Gift Garcia over 12. Remember, Tim Lane is gone now.

Anyway, I'd really pay to see McGregor face Algieri in a mixed rules match. Let's see if Conor can get past the gatekeeper to even see if he deserves TBE or Manny.
I'm sorry but it's absurd to think algieri beats Garcia. And I like algieri but no chance. People love to underestimate Garcia over personal bias but he's a strong fighter with excellent timing and accuracy. He'd stop algieri within 8.

Not a "couple" of good shots.

Besides, all you're doing is trying to punish Thurman for rounds 10-12. Ignoring rounds 1-8 where Garcia was treated like a sparring partner.

Garcia is only good when he can counter you.

Khan was outboxing the hell out of him until he got close. Algieri's not going to get close.

The gifts Garcia got and the Thurman education are proof positive that Garcia is too one-dimensional for a boxer with range who knows how to use it effectively.

Garcia's also nowhere near as fast as Manny, which means he's not catching Chris on the backfoot.

The fight is on Dailymotion if you need to review it Thurman ran for eight out the 12 rounds and barely made it out of round10 from a body shot.
