Then you have the Pacquiao fight which taught Cotto that you can get knocked out at the negotiating table. Put those two things together (and add a small dose of Floyd's business model) and you have post-2012 Cotto.
Not that my opinion matters, but I've always been somewhat understanding of Cotto's diva-like tendencies. I think Cotto is an exceptionally gifted fighter, but Margarito robbed him of his prime...which is the worst thing you can do to a professional athlete. What makes it worse is that it was a criminally violent robbery in front of his family.
If I were in Cotto's shoes, I'd probably be a bit of a d!ck too.
Still...this is a very frustrating time to be a Cotto fan.
Link proof that Margarito cheated against Cotto or STFU with your conspiracy theories and excuses. GTFOH with your assumptions and denial, "in this country" (Jack Nicholsons's Whitey Bulger voice) you need proof, otherwise, the person is innocent until proven guilty.
Don't worry, I'll wait...

What I generally defer to on the Margarito vs. Cotto wraps conflict includes, but is not limited to: (1) the opinion of nearly every boxer and full-time boxing journalist who has publicly weighed in on the subject; (2) the amount and type of damage inflicted during the fight; and (3) the fact that Margarito was caught in his very next fight.
I understand that this is not definitive "proof," but we are allowed to form opinions based on our observations and ability to reason, right?
I'm really more interested in a thoughtful discussion than in winning an argument, so don't take it so personally. I argue for a living. Your "don't worry, I'll wait" is pure amateur hour.

(5)He came nowhere near doing the same type of damage the second fight.
