He looked rusty as hell but got some important rounds in. Hopefully he gets another fight this summer. He'll be ready for anybody at 130 by the end of the year.

Horribly boring fight. Cool, he danced around and avoided punches but didn't throw any. Why are 99% of Cuban boxers unwatchable ?

i haventpicked anyone i just think that is the most credible fight at 130 since corrales is the real number 1 in the division...and since they took walters legs from under him befoe they fought.

I don't have to explain Gamboa's choices whom he decides to fight,it is none of my concern i ain't part of his entourage or team, nor am i a fan of his,i just stated he came of a long layoff which he did.

There was a time, not too long ago, when I couldn't possibly imagine someone saying something like this. Gamboa was absolutely electrifying for much of his boxing life. Electrifying. The Rios/Top Rank fiasco was the turning point in a once-promising career. Yuri took that layoff and he's never been the same since. And, frankly, I don't think he'll ever be the same again. Too many breaks; getting too old; too much bullshit. Not the first, not the last.

You are right of course, but I still think he have a couple of good fights in him, kind of when Duran fought Moore and years later Barkley, lets see what happens next...

I think the ability is there, but the will isn't. Even a guy as talented as Gamboa can't be a part-time boxer. Duran was special. Can't name too many guys like him.

This was sad to watch. Gamboa used to be one of the most entertaining fighters to watch

He reminded me a bit of Pacquiao (who's also a shadow of his former self now)

His days are numbered. Loma will steamroll him if they fight
