He looked like a shell of himself.

Still at the wrong weight class, hasn't had a real trainer in years, inactive, getting old for a little guy...he needs to stay active and in the gym to sharpen up.

off balance all night, his hands were lower than his belt line...he's going to get ko'd again..
well i mean sharp in the way is still is fast with the faints,i thought he boxed well, moved good from side to side and bob and weaved, light on his feet, his offense was very slim of course, everybody could see that, but for a 35 year old with that long off a layoff it wasn't that bad,i hope that puts my comment in perspective,he did nullify the other guy's offense with his defense with i thought was impressive

I wouldn't hold this fight against him. He needs to come back asap though

I never want to see him on my tv again. HBO was ****** for approving this fight. I would rather watch a golden boy prospect in a step up fight than Gamboa.

How can you say this after one dull fight when he's entertained us consistently for his whole career? Gamboa is not Rigondeaux or Lara, he's a fun fighter when he's active and properly matched

You rebuild careers on HBO latino and ESPN not on a regular HBO , How many casual fan change the channel because of that first fight?

They couldn't have known it would be a dud considering Gamboa's previous form as an explosive puncher. It was just bad luck

What we saw was a shell of a once great talent . No one beats father time and Gamboa is no exception. Gone are the days of high output punch combinations and blinding speed. In my opinion he better cash out soon on the biggest fight he can get.
This is coming from a big Gamboa fan.
