Is there a Haymon & Sauerland alliance doe is what I'm asking? I don't think we can assume because Schaefer & Sauerland are cool & Schaefer & Haymon are cool that Haymon & Sauerland are cool & in cahoots. I'm not aware of any business done between those two parties which is why I asked you about it cuz I might have just forgotten about it.

If PBC fighters get into this tournament, as I & you expect, than that will be the first case of them working together that I'm aware of & that doesn't seem to be confirmed yet. Its just a solid theory on whats likely next.

      I'm not assuming . . .

PBC & WBSS were both being planned years ago at the same time, WBSS just couldn't launch until certain alliances were solidified and the involved parties had control of enough top tier talent. You're not aware of any business done between the two parties because nobody was supposed to see this coming, even though it's been common knowledge in certain circles for the last two years.

Oh yea good info & guess here. And DeGale & the Dirrell brothers are likely to be in play for entry too if this is a vehicle Haymon/PBC guys use. If they can get Ramirez involved this would decide the #1 guy in the 168 division.

Idk what this has to do with what I'm saying. Or are you saying straight up or implying you know of phone conversations between Haymon & Sauerland or something? Or you are assuming they have been phone conversations between Haymon & Sauerland cuz both of us expect, perhaps based on different reasoning/knowledge, PBC guys to be involved in this tournament.

The goal is to make sure that in both divisions they pick, 2 of the 8 fighters are world champions. That will largely determine which divisions are selected. Can they get two world champions from that division, get the orgs on board to make sure nobody is stripped during the tournament, etc.

Eventually, the hope is that WBSS would take off to the point where they can eventually have a tournament with all four champions and all four mandatories from the same division, guaranteeing an undisputed champion at the end of the tournament. WBSS has some very lofty goals, but the hope is that with 17 divisions, you could eventually do 3-4 tournaments a year to crown undisputed champions and that in most of the weight classes, WBSS would be offering so much more money than fighters would be able to make otherwise, that it just becomes a tradition in the sport that every year different weight classes are having a tournament to crown an undisputed champion.

Unfortunately I don't see Arum going for it, so Ramirez probably ends up like Bute did in the Super Six

Zeuge, Groves, Abraham, DeGale, Dirrell or Smith (or perhaps both) and two or three out of Feigenbutz, Chudinov and De Carolis would be alright. It'd be really nice if they could make space for up-n-comers like Yildirim, Plant and Benavidez instead of the older guys though

If Abraham ends up in the tourney then you have to give him credit for taking part in another one after all these years

You reckon they bid big on the Smith/Dirrell fight so they could kick things off with it? Groves/Chudinov is good to go aswell. Been wondering why were not hearing dates for fights, could be the reason

                    LHW for me.

                    Stevenson
                    Kovalev
                    Ward
                    Beterbiev
                    Alvarez
                    Jack
                    Barrera/Gvozdyk
                    Smith/Fonfara

That division is loaded with talent.

there's no way to make it work at heavyweight right now because the tournament is absolutely pointless if you don't have AJ & Wilder and their fight would be worth so much money that it just doesn't make sense to do it in this tournament format.
Obviously you aren't going to get the big time Stars like Joshua, canelo, manny, wilder, etc..

But can still make some great brackets, especially at 1 mil or more a fight.
