Don't know why these ****** posters keep changing facts which are easily available.
That's why fake news are not really new. Unscrupulous people just want to believe what they want to believe and make their own fake stories.

How the f#ck do you lowball a guy in a purse bid? This isn't like two guys in talks to fight. This is a mandated fight & the value as seen by promoters is what the purse bid ends up being.

And the funny part is Barrera's own promoter tried to lowball him even more if TS was right. GYM was going to pay him $62k & Main Events was going to pay him $45k lol.

We all have our biases, but at the end of the day, facts prevail. Now, can you honestly say, with your admitted bias, that the Barrera offer was fair? Or that Rigo deserved such a meager pittance for fighting Lomachenko? I personally think the Lomachenko offer was an obviously hostile one, I'm still waiting for a Lomachenko fan to agree as I've seen many Rigo fans accuse him of ducking.

In the case of the Barrera fight, I would've considered the offer to be low, but as someone earlier mentioned, it was the IBF rules, so that's irrelevant now. I was just annoyed by people jumping at conclusions because it fits their narrative.

And just for the record, I have absolutely nothing against EE fighters, as a matter of fact I'm a big fan, I'm just annoyed by the cheerleaders and their ulterior motives.
'Fair', sadly, is rarely part of the equation. Everyone is trying to maximise their income, and those with the biggest fanbase or drawing power (actual or potential) will always get the biggest share of the pot. With regards to Lomachenko - Rigo I can't recall now accurately what the offer was - I think you're right about the $500k for Rigo but I can't remember what Loma was thought to be receiving and Google ain't helping much. Myself I'd think a 50 / 50 split would be 'fair' at that time (although it would have been Lomachenko's strap on the line), but the realities of the situation were that Lomachenko was the new star that Arum seems to see as the future, whereas he'd made no secret that he considered Rigo something of a white elephant. Racist? Biased? Maybe, but mainly just looking to maximise his returns IMO.

This will set a dangerous precedent where the non Eastern Euro will be forced to accept ****ty offers in order for his stock not to plummet.

wow and lara has GGG shook. I never realized it but all of these soviets are peeing their pants whenever a cuban tries to fight them.

That's absolute bull****. The Golovkin hate brigade still toots the 'he ducked Ward' horn even though it was proven false a million times. There is no privilege. You're seeing what you want to see and ignoring when it's the other way around.

Nobody with a brain is calling Barrera a ducker. That purse was absolute **** for a fight between 2 top10 fighters. He was absolutely right to decline that fight.

As for Rigo, that dude deserves every ounce of **** he's ever gotten. He's been living off the Donaire victory for 4 years now and acting like an entitled prick. Multiple people close to him have said that he ***ed up his own career and is reaping what he's sown over the years. Despite all of that, he got a shot back to stardom as co-headliner on the Cotto/Canelo card, and he ended up putting up a stinker and getting booed out of the arena.

Rigo brings absolutely nothing to any equation. He kills shows, is a nightmare to negotiate with and then has a ton of unrealistic demands after all of that. Loma was willing to fight him. He should have taken that chance because NOBODY is touching him with a ten foot pole. Here are some quotes from his former manager:

He was successful in doing this, winning two belts (as well as the RING championship), but he has surrounded himself with people who have ruined his career. No promoter or manager would touch Rigo with a 10-foot pole because these people are too difficult to deal with and they put hurdle after hurdle in front of every opportunity offered to Rigo. This is a nightmare situation for one of the best fighters in the world."
"Rigo has to take some of the blame for destroying his own career," he said. "He has refused many multi-million dollar opportunities I offered to him over the last couple of years. He needs to get rid of these reptiles and get fighting again because not only will he lose his world titles outside of the ring he will also be forgotten."
