The Ivan Drago effect is bad for boxing

Beterbiev just blatantly low balled Barrera, and Lomachenko did the same with Rigondeaux. Coincidentally, both are Cubans, the worst opponents you can ever face in a boxing ring.

Now, with Golovkin being such a force, any Eastern European fighter can lowball any opponent and their already biased fanbase will assume that the other party is ducking. This will set a dangerous precedent where the non Eastern Euro will be forced to accept ****ty offers in order for his stock not to plummet.

What are your thoughts on this?

The hell are you talking about? Lomachenko give Rigo all he would want, the catchweight of 124 and the payday, but it was Rigo who walked out because "Champion gets payday doe!" Rigo, like everyone else is a ducker and Lomachenko puts him in his place.

Cubans need to make better business decisions and get with promoters willing to put the $$$ up for fights. & We all know these Eastern Euros come to the U.S. looking for a handout and when they dont get 1, they cry duck.

My thoughts on this are that you're a race-baiting cry baby and this dumb thread isn't the only example of it.

Not really. You can use the hate toward Cuban fighters as a catalyst to generate more ratings. Canelo - Lara was probably one of Canelo's biggest fights rating wise even though Lara is considered a boring boxer.

If course it can, but it doesn't stick generally because of the general bias towards Eastern Europeans at the moment.

Oh please, don't try to assassinate my character. Everything I said in this post is very real.
