Barrera and Rigo belong on the Cuban cowards list. They want the big fights, so long as they get paid very well.

... don't place it under "the right or wrong skin color"... there are some posters here who regularly attack anyone who comes from the "Soviet school of boxing"...

Funny how the same fans said nothing when Beterbiev turned down barrera over a year ago

Yeh rigo should fight a guy who's about 4 weights naturally bigger than him, and lomachenko was the one who turned down the fight, he turned down the 124lb catch weight, if loma had accepted that the fight would have happened but he didn't want to concede anything

Barrera got a bad deal. He shouldn't have signed the contract if he wasn't happy though. You negotiate, and if both sides are happy (or at least come to a compromise), you sign.

If Barrera would have said originally that he didn't want to accept the purse of 60K, I honestly wouldn't have blamed him. This isn't a good look for him.

What contract? I wanna know this contract people are talking about.

Last week a press release was sent out indicating that an IBF light heavyweight final eliminator between Sullivan Barrera (18-1) and Artur Beterbiev (11-0) had been finalized for April 21st in Miami, Florida. However, Barrera denies receiving a contract for the fight and says that he is being lied to.

Hmm, I admit I must have missed that. There seems to be confusion, if nothing else. If there is no contract, then I don't have a problem with Barrera's choice.
