I thought eliminators were 50/50? Beterbiev getting 75% for an eliminator is insane. If the boot was on the other foot would Beterbiev fight for 60k?

It's the IBF they're wonky some times but they stick by their rules for better or worse.... What was the Split for Glazkov/ Martin? Wasn't that 50/50. I think it might have something to do with the rankings AB #2 and SB #7...

who cares if ....." the rules blah blah "..... ?

1) that was a shht deal

2) considering the fact that you are nobody, did you offer him 50/50?

3) if answer to #2 is no, then stop crying

a good fighter, enjoying his work so far and enjoying the fact that he appears to be prepared to fast-track..... but stop with the lame party-line technicalities

Then why the **** did barrerra sign the contract? When the fighter with the right skin color gets a bad deal all of a sudden you defend them. If he won against beterbiev his stock would have gone up. Now he's lucky if he even gets 62k his next fight.

If Beterbiev was real fighter, he would have forgo the ****** IBF rules, and have offered him something better than 25/75 during negotiations. He damn well knew getting anyone decent with that ****** split would never happen. It's why Duva originally said no to the fight. If he's comfortable fighting lesser fighters and ducking Kovalev, that's on him.

No wonder people don't want the fight. It's a 75/25 split in Beterbievs favour whoever he fights.

Proceeds of the purse bid for elimination bouts or box offs will be distributed as
follows:
a. Boxer ranked #1 v. Boxer ranked #2
50% to each contestant
b. Boxer ranked #1 or #2 v. any other boxer
75% to boxer #1 or #2 and 25% to other contestant
c. Boxers ranked #3 or below v. boxer ranked #3 or below
60% to higher ranked boxer and 40% to lower ranked boxer

Is it just me or do the ABC orgs seem corrupt in how purses are split? Shouldn't this be left to the promoters? Personally I think a 55/45 split is fair. At worst 60/40. Not Beterbievs fault, but this is the kind of thing killing the sport.
