Golovkin is asking for a bigger split than Mayweather got. Mayweather got like 30%, Golovkin wants 40%. Mayweather had PPVs that sold over 350k, Golovkin had PPV that sold 97k. Golovkin is making ridiculous demands. He doesn't even deserve 25%.

There are too many belts that don't mean shyt for me to give 2 phuks about GGG grabbing a couple of them. And if he wants to keep wasting his career because his promoter keeps turning down career fights then go cry to k2 not me about where he is. Until he man's up and signs the paper to fight canelo most people will continue to ignore him as you see with his terrible ppv buys and struggling ticket sales.

Like I said floyd had real belts, a real resume and all the accolades and it did NOTHING for him at the negotiation table with Oscar because he was the bigger star. There is no belt that he can grab that will help him bargain with canelo. He's the B side and needs to accept that and sign the offer he was given.
No, you're making excuses for Mayweather. All the same trinkets were around in his day. They mean something when he wins them but don't when GGG wins them. The WBA screwed their belt up. Anybody who wins it has to be graduated to Super champion later on. It's the way it works. He legitimately won the IBF and Canelo wimped out and handed him the WBC. Anyone else would have done the same, including Mayweather. And if someone disagrees with you, they're not an idiot. If they do agree with you, they're probably named Isaac Clark.

Look at this ****** trying to argue how you get a belt doesn't matter. GTFOH you bellend.

The super champion is the real WBA champion. Golovkin was given both the regular and super outside the ring.

mayweather got 43 percent split. also mayweather got a percetange of the ppv which was how he made most of his money and ggg gets zero of the ppv so canelo in reality would be getting much more but you aren't counting ppv profits for some reason.

What are you talking about? Mayweather got around a 30% split and ended up making around 25 mil. Mayweather was a bigger draw than Golovkin is. Golovkin is being offered 15 mil Guaranteed. That's more than he deserves. With a 30% split he'd probably end up making less.

oh i meant 33 im bad at math. the point is he got a percentage of ppv and you saying he is being offered 40 percent makes no sense because we dont know how much the ppv will make so we dont know the total purses after ppv but its probably a lot. so if you add another 30-40 in ppv profit hes really only making like 15 percent of the total purse. thats nothing like what floyd accepted so it was a bad comparison. canelo is not popular without anothe star. we already know that. angulo, lara, liam smith even khan were flops so he needs ggg. why allow him to take all the money? a percentage also makes sense because if the fight does flop its saves golden boy money. its just a duck.

The cable providers take half the PPV money, if it sells 1 mil at $70 that's only $35 mil revenue after the cable providers take their cut. The gate will do say $10 mil, that's $45 mil. Undercard, promotion expenses etc, lets say take off 5 mil. That's 40 mil left. $15 mil from 40 is a 37.5% split. More than Mayweather got.

Golovkin excites some, but not the general buying public. He's not a big draw.

This fight will be another poor performer. Afterwards, the $15million offer will look like what it is, too much.

I'm not even a fan of Floyd but to compare his belts he won and achievements to GGG is disrespectful to floyd. All belts are NOT equal how you got it and who you had to beat for it matters.
Beating Carlos Baldomir was quite impressive, I agree...
