They aren't losing money with Golovkin. They are making money. Golovkin vs Jacobs was gonna be regular cable but Jacobs wanted more than 2 millions so it had to be made ppv. Reported by Motorcity Cobra, not me. I don't know his source but he posted it here.

The writing is on the wall for this ppv bombing. GGGs only other HBOPPV didn't sell and this time they are paying the fighters double the Lemieux fight. They know they ain't making that money up in ppv buys so they tired hiking up the ticket prices to try and cover the loss. But the tickets ain't selling, nobody watched the 24/7, we near the date and there is zero buzz for this fight. They also staged it in NY too close to the Thurman fight. So if you a NYer and both tickets are expensive and weeks apart which fight are you paying for?

I think this fight is a real risk for doing less ppvs then the Lemieux fight which I didn't think was possible.

Everyone there said Golovkin dominated that sparring session, do not re write history. There are reports. But it was expected at that point. Canelo was a JMW and a 20 yo kid.
