GGG is building his brand at Middle right now, he doesn't need to move up for that.
Whats his brand though? And how is it growing? Seems that it's not...but the Jacobs ppv will say a lot towards the growth of his brand.

    • That's NSB for ya. A bunch of people who think Wilder should just fight whomever their little hearts desire, rather than looking out for his own career. Pathetic..

As for Wilder, I've spent this entire thread pretty much trashing his level of competition. Not sure what you've been reading.
Golovkin deserves the same amount of criticism as Wilder does. However, Golovkin has this upcoming fight against Jacobs who is top five in his division. Wilder won't even consider anyone in the top ten.

if he won't consider anyone in the top ten, why did he fly to russia?

Technically, he didn't make it to Russia. Either way, Povetkin made a bad move and bailed Wilder out. He hasn't come close to fighting a top ten fighter since.

This is after getting an immediate shot at the WBC champ (who was Stiverne) with the paltry resume that he had.

At this point, Wilder should not waste time thinking about anyone not in the top ten.
