Why didnt fighters ever fight Floyd on the back foot and make him lead?

none of those guys imo qualify as pure boxers..those guys either rarely used a jab,or just pawed with it...

guys who could have forced Floyd to come forward and Floyd would have actually would have had to go through the s**tstorm, to get the win, would have been:

Because Floyd is a ring general who does what he wants.

And when Floyd leads he picks his opponents apart.

People don't understand how good Floyd was. Mentally he was light years ahead of everyone else. Keeping your cool in the ring the way he did every second of every round, has never been done by another fighter like he did it.

Because letting a fighter with superior speed/reflexes and great defence get off first, control the ring and pace would be insanely ******. Mayweather in the centre of the ring is a lot harder to hit than when he's backed against the ropes.
