I'll bet they called you.....Tony was good but it was quite obvious to see how bad Haye now really is.Lets face it it makes sense why David just wants the 'easy' and a quick title shot.

Haye is done, even if Bellew was to give him a another shot and Haye was to knock him out this is too much to go back on

Bellew is also a decent actor....was believable in Creed. Of course, he WAS playing himself.

I think Hearn is a super charismatic, funny promoter (watch Joshua interviews behind closed doors when he's clowning on Joshua, he's pretty funny), but he must be a little confused on exactly how Tony won, the way he's talking about "if he beat Haye he can beat Wilder, Joshua" lol.
Why didn't he own Bellew when his achilles hadn't popped?

Weaker heavyweights with vulnerabilities are a cruiserweight champions best friend. The only dangerous heavyweight that could cause harm to Bellew right now is Joshua.

Parker is talented and because of his relative size Bellew probably sees an opportunity. Wilder can punch and do little else.
We ain't taking about a guy like James Toney. Bellew matched range well against Haye, but against anyone taller he's in trouble.

I don't think Bellew has the power to live with the top HW guys, even Windmills Wilder.

He is skilled and brave, but I don't think he can survive 12 rounds under fire.

He was well behind before Haye bust his heel.

Still a great and memorable performance by Bellew on Saturday - I owe him huge props.

probably so... But put yourself in Bellew's place for a moment, actually there is precedent. After Braddock defeated Baur his next title fight was to defend against this upcoming kid....Joe Louis lol. As expected Braddock took a bit of a shellacking, went out oh his shield, and lived a fairy tale life in New Jersey.

Bellew has the money now. Where I take issue with people here is when they want to try to tell me, or if they were face to face with Bellew... "Oh this guy Wilder is a killer, don't do it Toney!" (tears streaming down the face) I mean seriously...Wilder is talented but has more holes than an Alabama hooker over the age of 18! Nobody is killing anyone in the ring!

If it was iron Mike different story entirely. My point is: YOU, ME if we are Bellew we take that fight! we cash out! We avoid the Alabama windmill, maybe catch a punch to the chops, maybe even get Koed, but we take that fight secure in our knowledge that we probably won't win, but have a chance given the relative merits of the Alabama windmill.

Yeah I get you. Wilder isn't a good heavyweight in championship terms, in fact he shouldn't even be a top contender. It's just his frame and his big right hand. From a money point of view it makes sense, although he might make more for a Haye rematch. But given that Haye is out for probably a year I guess that's not a likely route. It would be great if he somehow closed the range and out a left hook on Wilders chin. Stranger things have happened.
