Super happy Bellew won, but come on, if Haye's achilles didn't pop, he would've owned Bellew the rest of that fight--and I was rooting for Tony! I think Hearn is a super charismatic, funny promoter (watch Joshua interviews behind closed doors when he's clowning on Joshua, he's pretty funny), but he must be a little confused on exactly how Tony won, the way he's talking about "if he beat Haye he can beat Wilder, Joshua" lol.
Possibly these comments are intended to mock Haye. They hate each other and Eddie will be loving this, knowing he has one-up on Haye.

      Yep.

It makes sense all the way around.

Thats not how it works. When the heavyweights are weak the cruisers come up ride the poney and try to grab the gold ring. What is it with people? Wilder and Haye can punch but they are not dangerous pressure fighters who chase one down and leave the person in a pool of their own fluids! Weaker heavyweights with vulnerabilities are a cruiserweight champions best friend. The only dangerous heavyweight that could cause harm to Bellew right now is Joshua.

Parker is talented and because of his relative size Bellew probably sees an opportunity. Wilder can punch and do little else.

Yea true, but Eddie's a business man, and all promoters treat the general public like they're idiots. So it's of no surprise to me that he's making comments like, "He beat David Haye!" and like his other one at the end of this article of "He probably won't get all of the credit because of his leg". It's like yea, he was losing decisively on the scorecards before the leg lol. But again, hats off to Bellew for not getting blasted out and giving sometimes as good as he got to get to that part of the fight.

Bellew might aswell just ride the wave and go along with and make a huge payday again, even if he gets flattened. He really has nothing to lose at this stage.

I did not know that. I feel like I've heard mention of his father before, but have not paid attention. Scummy as most of them are, I do like Hearn for some reason. He seems genuinely excited for his fighters and tries to be friends with them, as well. I hope he means it.

His dad promoted Lennox Lewis, Eubank, Benn and more at some point.

Even if Bellew won he still wouldn't get respected. I hope he lands another big fight at HW and causes another ****storm and laughs his way to the bank.

Love him or hate him I don't know how people can't respect the guy in an era full of divas he's taking big ass risks, no ****s given and shocking the world over & over. He's making a mockery of the sport really overachieving like hell. Its a real fairy tale run.

A guy who was getting dropped left & right on the domestic scene at LHW, got destroyed by Stevenson moves up beats Masternak, knocks Llunga Makabu clean out then stops David Haye at HW lol you couldn't make it up.
He's earned my respect that is for sure.
