What's there to be disappointed about? Both him and Birmingham showed that they got good game planning and Keith showed he can stayed disciplined and be smart. Sure he could had done more but why risk it?
Any other Keith fans disappointed by him last night?

In front of a primetime national audience on CBS, Thurman fought a smart fight but failed to win impressively and draw in any new boxing fans. It was a boring fight, even the fans watching at the Barclays were booing.Comment

I'm actually more impressed with Thurman, Dude showed he has more levels to his game instead of just "KO's for life". His hand speed was there, Defence & stamina was top knotch. Keith is also a great student of the game his corner had a plan & he executed it exactly as his corner advised him to. Thurman is the man to beat @147lbs.Comment

No, I thought Thurman fought a very wise and disciplined fight. Keith knew that Garcia was setting traps for him but refused to take the bait. You don't underestimate the caliber of an opponent such as Danny Garcia. He's an undefeated Welterweight title holder for a reason.
That has been the problem with many of his opponents and us boxing fans in the past. We've always underestimated and underappreciated Danny's ability and skill; With myself being included. However, let the truth be told the man can fight.
For example, he showed skills in that ring that I didn't even know he possessed like upper body defense. His ability to slip many of One time's power punches were an awesome display of boxing.
Moreover, I was more impressed with him in losing than at anytime of his career because he displayed a ton of heart; Not only by the amount of hard punches he absorbed from Thurman but most of all the amount of graciousness and class he showed in defeat.
Even though he thought he won the fight, he made no excuses and accepted his defeat a like a real man and true champion should and because of that I tip my hat to him.Comment

I'm definitely disappointed in the way he abandoned his attack at a certain point. I get it, it was working, but he had certain attacks that worked all night, from the 1st to the 12th. He could have really closed the show in style.
Which he tends to do in every fight, so it wasn't surprising, but he was so clearly able to do what he wanted with his right hand. He should have kept at it. He showed too much respect to Garcia, even when it was blatantly obvious that he did his homework and knew just about every power punch Danny likes to throw.Comment

Not really. I knew that's how Thurman would fight against Garcia. Everyone knows that Garcia struggles with fighters with good footwork and lateral movement and Thurman played that plan to a T. The real winner is Herrera who laid out the blueprint. But anyways, you can blame Floyd for Thurman running around the last round, he started that trend.
I guess Oscar had nothing to do with that huh?Comment

Thurman dominated that fight mentally and physically. He had Danny shook from round one and was taking his heart round by round. At one point, Danny didn't even know where his corner was. The same things that he was doing to Danny all fight long, he could have done in the 10th and 11th rounds but I think that he and his corner wanted to humiliate Danny and make him look desperate and incomplete ( which they did ). It was Danny's job to cut that ring off and force the fight but he couldn't do that and that's on him. There are levels in this fight game and Thurman is a level above Danny. He showed it.Comment

After he saw how Garcia took his best shots, he said to himself it's better to box from the outside and hit him with a couple of power shots from time to time to see how he reacts.
And what happened? Danny took them because that chin is made of steel and like the SMART boxer that he is, decided he wasn't gonna engage in a trading war when he can OUTBOX and land the clearer shots instead of risking it all by getting caught with a shot he couldn't see.
I'm just baffled how quickly people are to discredit One Time in his victory after that flawless performance yesterday, where he made Garcia miss more than half his shots and look spectacular while doing so. If he was Floyd Mayweather, everyone would be all over his nuts on how he schooled Garcia.
There is no pleasing some of you, damned if you do and damned if you don't.
Screw them, One Time fought a is the unified welterweight champion of the world babay!Comment
