Never been to New York so wouldn't know; if it's anything like Oracle, any seat in the lower bowl should be fine. Looking at the map for Thurman-Garcia, you can get into the lower bowl for $150 a ticket.Comment

Not Jacobs' fault that K2 didn't have the money; Jacobs and his camp were more than willing to take on the burden of finding the money to stage the fight.I don't think it's such a bad thing if this fight doesn't sell so well. Remember, Jacobs was holding out because he wanted $X to fight GGG when he was happy to accept 3 times less to fight much lesser opponents for no titles. In response K2 decided that in order to secure the fight and meet Danny's requests, they'd increase the ticket prices to try to cover the costs.
Having this fight sell out only encourages more fighters to hold out for that big payday and force fans to pay higher prices for fights that aren't total mismatches.
While I am glad that this fight has been made, it shouldn't concern fans that this fight hasn't sold out, that is the concern of the promoters who decided to set the ticket prices at that level.
Fighters, even those that aren't with Haymon, are sharper now than they were 10 years ago. Fighters will hold on for what they view themselves to be worth, and it'll come down to promoters finding the money, a promoter letting the fight going to someone else to find the money, or simply telling the boxing public that the money isn't there to make the fight and move on.Comment

It's only money. It comes and goes. But the memories of going will never leave. The fight was announced in November. Plenty of time to save up to goComment

If K2 couldn't finance the fight, he should've let Lou DiBella finance the fight instead. Properly price the fight for New York (Thurman-Garcia is pretty much a near sellout for tonight), utilize your relationships to max out on the international TV, maximize the potential money on the US TV, and convince your fighter (in this case Jacobs) to take a lesser piece on the front end and get their own take on the back-end of the fight.Comment

Lee isn't adding any seats. If people won't pay $300 to see GGG they damn sure ain't paying that to see Lee. If people would pay $300 to see Lee he'd be headlining his own card.
So this is Jacobs fault?
No this is the cheap fans of GGG who won't go support him when he raises his price to the level of a Cotto or Canelol
Can't ignore the Irish support in NY so Lee would have brought some fans for a good opposition, ofcourse not as much as frampton.. like I said in my previous posts, they are priced high.. seats that people are showing around the ring is 600-400$, the top tier ones have sold faster than the 600$ ones, but again let's see what happens over the next 2 weeks.. I'm going, so I'll let you know how full the arena on fight night was...Comment

Fight is set for tonight, and there are significantly less than 10% of the tickets still available for Thurman-Garcia.
Let's see what the numbers look like when thing get closer, but it's not looking all that good for Golovkin-JacobsComment

less than 3 weeks until the fight and Golovkin, this alleged star who can wait on a $15m offer, still hasn't filled out the lower bowl for his fight (in a venue that he allegedly sold out with Golovkin-Lemieux)?Comment

When I was up north I lived in VA so those prices for someone out of state are a little too much IMO anyway. If I was in NY or NJ I would had paid it but that wasn't the case.Comment
