Now it's Gonzalez and Caudras in separate fights vs guys they should kill. No Usyk. Lee's fighting Golovkin's sparring partner. And TR threw a fit to have Taylor taken off the card.
Gonzalez is in a very tough fight

But if they have overpriced the event like others are saying then that explains it. Fury vs Klitschko II had the same problems.

When I first saw the ticket prices for this fight I knew they would have some trouble moving tickets. They are overpriced by about 35%.

Let's face it, Daniel Jacobs has never been able to even come close to filling an arena at any of his fights, none of them.

The guy has wins over Quillen who's been proven to have been nothing more than an over hyped regular joe and two wins over Sergio Mora. That's about all he's got on his resume which isn't saying much. The guy can't even sell tickets in his own home town vs Golovkin, what else do you need to know that he's not a draw, never has been one and never will be.

Again, the prices were too much because you only have one side of the equation that's selling tickets to this fight and that's Golovkin.

Loeffler should have let it go to a purse bid at which point Jacobs side would have either had to pony up %70 of the purse to Golovkin or drop his belt. Only thing I can think of is HBO upped their end of the tv deal money to keep this fight from potentially ending up on Showtime if Haymon/DiBella were to win the purse bid.

Also, watch for Mr Loeffler to come around talking about how the fight is selling great.

And for the guy who said he hopes the fight does 400k, if it does 400k or above I'll make sure to give you 5 quint. Lol
Trust me when I say I won't be looking for it.

What I hope it will do and what I think it will do are like night and day...

Dollar for dollar, Garcia-Thurman is a better fight card than Golovkin-Jacobs, and that's without much argument, tbh.

For the NY fight fan with $200 to spend on a big outing, they're heading to Brooklyn over Manhattan, imo

Nah man, the Garden is still the Garden. I have friends from Maryland who bought tickets with me and we all going. One of them is really excited about it being Madison square garden.

But yeah, they are expensive. Spent over 200 for mine

The tickets are 3x the price of the Lemiuex fight. Went with the wife to that one for $100 a ticket and good seats. Same section is $300 for this fight so I passed. When you gotta pay an opponent 3 x the purse I guess that's what happens. Doubt they sell this one out.

Barclays Center, when it comes to boxing, has been eating MSG's lunch for a while, and is emerging as one of the premier boxing venues on the planet.

Nostalgia only goes so far, tbh

I was there for Jacobs/Quillin and it's nice but it was like half empty. Not saying you're wrong but they've also been getting more and better fights than MSG.

But I thought Bumlovkin was supposed to be the new face of boxing.
