How is it the same Ward got 5 million and Kovelev got 2 mil and he was the champion. GGG is the 4 belt middle weight champ of course he's getting way more than Jacobs and besides the WBA rules mandate that 75-25 split for the Champion mandatory fight. How is kovelev asking? He's demanding and enforcing the rematch clause, that was signed in the first fight contract. Ward is pulling this Janet Jackson Diva sht about he's in control. The rematch clause simply entitles Kovalev to having the immediate next crack at Andre Ward. It says nothing aout the TV, what venue they'll be fighting at, what international TV partners will get the fight, what sponsors will be apart of the fight, which press folks will get media credentialed, and even, the most important term of them all, the actual ****ing date of the fight.

Andre Ward and his camp, from the moment that the rematch clause was even triggered by Kovalev, have made it clear that they will be the parties dictating terms this time, with Kathy Duva and Sergey Kovalev simply left to hurrying up and sitting.

After everyone took time off for the holidays, Roc Nation Sports is starting to get the business going again; penciled in the HBO date, put a hold down on the venue, and work through the rest of the logistics on their side.

The moment the deal gets done, Main Events will get a call, Kovalev will get a purse for the fight, and Roc nation will run the event the way that they see fit.

Golovkin doesn't draw anywhere near the money that even Chavez Jr does, even with his handed-over trinket; Alvarez handed Golovkin one of the friggin' belts because it wasn't worth the money.

If Golovkin-Jacobs flops at the box office (350k PPV buys is arguably the number they need to clear), say goodbye to that $15m offer, lol
