He does come across as level-headed. And that's a good thing in the mad world of boxing.

I like Thurman but he talks a good game. I think, was a little intimidated by Spence.

Give me some names who don't/didn't want to lose their zeroes. Anyone care to ask Keith? There's gotta be some he had in mind when he said that.

He fights an average of twice a year with one exception in the last few years due to a car accident.

I think Thurman was being fair when he said Spence had to do something to earn a fight with him.

It doesn't matter any more now anyway. If Spence is able to topple Brook he'll have earned the right to get the big fights at Welter.

I don't think you'll find any fighter who wants to lose. Thurman is just saying he's willing to risk a loss by fighting the top fighters out there. Whereas others like to cherry pick weaker fighters in order to stay undefeated. Like Garcia was for the pass two years.

That's very cool how he looked at the last four rounds of the Porter fight like he had to win a four round fight instead of a twelve-round title fight. I like his mentality. O's come and go, but when you fight the best, beat the best and even lose to the best, it's hard for people to knock you. You have the guts to get in there and were always competitive. Thurman's had a good career so far and a win over Garcia will take him far. Ii I had to pick a winner on Saturday, it would be Thurman, although I think this fight is as close as it can get.

You're right, if he beats Brook, in my opinion, he's the man. I just don't see any guys lining up to face him.
