nobody is saying jabobs defense is great, none of their defenses are their strengths, Jacobs s a sucker for a right hook but Gggee gets hit a lot as well, we just haven't saw hurt him. what we are saying is that if he gets hit that way with Jacobs it can be over or he can be in trouble. some posters are saying Geegg does that because he doesn't feel as though his opponents can hurt him so he throws defense out of the book. I guess but eiher way it goes his defense hasn't looked up to par. one fight he showed signs but other than that I haven't seen much. Jacobs gets sloppy and over confident that's what happened against mora, against pirog that pressure was getting to him n he got caught but over a period of fights he doesn't get hit as much as gggee but maybe its true that gggee does it on purpose.

What makes you think GGG will be able to pressure Jacobs?

He might not be able to handle Danny's power.

You have to take into account the things Danny does well

That is not GGG's middle name.

                  That's honest and obvious.

You gotta' be quick to catch Jacobs.

Adama was catching GGG.... and he's slow as a pack mule

Wade landed a FOUR PUNCH COMBO on Golovkin...that mummy couldn't catch Stephen Hawking with a 4 piece.

Jacobs is going to catch Golovkin and he won't be able to take it.

Yet Lemieux could barely touch him and he is by far the hardest puncher that GGG has ever faced. Maybe GGG uses a solid defense only against punching threats?

I think Jacobs can hit Golovkin fine, but I also think Jacobs is going to get hit a lot he is not some master defensive boxer. On top of that he gets careless when he opens up.

That is why I think it will be a very good fight while it lasts, if one of them show much superior defense and ability to make the other guy miss that will be a huge advantage in the fight. I don't think either has that sort of ability but if that shows up the better defensive guy will probably win as long as they don't sacrifice their offense much.

People need to stop acting like the Mora KD happened in the 1990s or in the beginning of Jacobs career. It was a recent and relevant KD that will definitely matter and has to be taken in to account no matter what you think "He go caught cold", "He got got careless", "That was a year and a half ago", "It was a flash KD". It still matters because if you're getting flash KD'ed by a middleweight Paulie Malignaggi, chances are GGG will give you something worse than that.

I don't think he will, I think he will get hit a few times and get KO'ed. He won't suffer much punishment in terms of consistently landed punches. It will be like a modern Roy Jones fight. Always getting KO'ed but luckily it's just one and done, doesn't suffer a lot of blows throughout a lot of rounds. It's just one round, boom, combo, he's done. That's what will happen to Jacobs. He will look good for several rounds, even make it interesting in the scorecards, then boom boom boom a combo puts him down, maybe he gets up, but GGG finishes it.
