Idk if GGG's poor defense comes from him being bored of his opposition not being able to hurt him, or if it's actually like that. I used to think it's just bad defense, but as I think about it more, I think he deliberately throws defense out the window because he knows the opponents are too weak to do anything to his strong chin. When needed, I think he would elect to use defense, or be more elusive. Like vs Lemiuex he thought he was facing a big puncher so he threw more jabs and outboxed Lemiuex, who was throwing no jabs, before stopping him. Only thing interesting is that Lemiuex has considerably shorter height and reach than Jacobs. So while GGG had all the physical advantages over Lemieux, he won't have them vs Jacobs, he will have the disadvantage. But he will have the advantage in chin, and that's going to be the deciding factor, Jacobs inability to take a punch.
