Just not a fan of Oscar De La Arum treating the boxing public and fans like they're idiots..."Canelo doesn't run from anyone"? Was him ditching the belt to avoid the next fight against Gennady something else? And now this offer than almost every boxing insider, trainer and fighter says is a slap in the face--I just don't like the way Oscar is treating all of us like we can't figure out what is going on here. Here's my fear. All this PR by GBP is designed to justify them saying "GGG refused to negotiate, we're fighting Cotto instead"

I mean EVERY DAY a story with basically the same line from Team Canelo. It's February - these are preliminary negotiations, but GBP is acting like its final negotiations.

Canelo is not making no 60 mil with GGG. People are too ****** to realize that this fight,after HBO and the cable providers takes their cut will leave around 50 million dollars. That's 50 mil to pay all the fighters and for GB to recoup the expenses for promoting the fight. This is based on the fight doing a million buys at $70 and and extra 30 mil in sponsors and gate revenue. So tell me again how Canelo is making 60 million and GGG 40 million?

I was reponding a comments left by a previous post, who said the fight was Worth $100 million according to their post, mot mine.

Canelo can make $60 million in 2-3 fights. Ggg would have to do 8-10 fights to make $40 million. It's not like ggg opponents are making what Canelo is offering him. Age is not on his side and neither are the ppv numbers.

Nope, didn't forget that. In many ways, Oscar is a small-minded and confused man, but that is his problem. We all have shortcomings and some of his just cost him a ton of money. Let's hope he learns from his mistakes and partners with Haymon to put on some good fights. As to the fishnets and stuff that people talk about, he is not alone in that. Even our president is supposedly into weird and strange stuff.
