When the offer came back as 10 they hesitated and wanted it kept quiet so that the rumors of Canelo being scared wouldn't be dispelled. When Oscar spilled the beans ggg's camp was angry and stated "We thought these were gonna be private negotiations"
Why won't ggg just go take his belts for 10mil and then bully Canelo at the rematch table ?

You make it.
It won't mean a hill of beans either way it comes out.
There are already a grip of guys without a fraction of Paulie's popularity in Canastota already.
And, Paulie is now a colleague of a lot of the guys with votes, or did you forget he is behind the mike now?
They will vote him in.

On the one hand Golovkin seeing this as his biggest payday wants the fight sooner than later and doesn't want to get stiffed by GB. Team Canelo wants to wait until Golovkin ages a bit to soften him up for their rising star. It's really a business decision on both of their parts. Hopefully they'll work it out and we'll see a great fight someday.
