"Potential money" is in the range of something more than $15 million or zero. If either of these guys loses in the near term, the $15 million vanishes and Golovkin's share is zero. If Canelo says, "I am moving on," Golovkin's share is zero. If all the folks who claim Canelo is ducking GGG are right, the chances this is the final offer are very high. It makes little sense for Canelo to pay GGG more money if he believes GGG will win the fight and probably knock him out.Comment

Let's watch all the dumb ass GGG haters and trolls jump all over this one. What a bunch of simpletons and goofs.Comment

Right on! Hey, that is more money than I am making in retirement! No, that is more money than I would make in 75 lifetimes.Comment

Yes B fighters has to sacrifice but let's get that Mayweather mentality out this game once and for all. Fighters have the right to earn according to the challenge. That Canelo feels butthurt that Floyd gave him peanuts and now he wants other fighters to go through that? Thats on him and that's what he thinks. Does it means he is right? No, and GGG is not a regular fighter or a contender, he is THE CHAMP, so he has to respect THE CHAMP.Comment

$15 million is huge amount. GGG is not getting any younger. He should take the offer, take El Pollo to cleaners and then give him a rematch on his own terms.Comment

I think GGG's group is hoping public opinion will pressure Canelo and GB to meet their demands. I don't want to come off as a conspiracy theorist, but did K2 or Sanchez contact Hunter and possibly others and ask them to publically support their position? After all, Hunter has no dog in that fight.Comment

That's the worst scenario for GGG. If canelo losses he never gets close to 15m offer again. Canelo will still get paid he will just go back down in weight or rematch Chavez for more money. But let's say chavez is allergic to money and fights GGG instead both fighters probably combined make 6m. And beating Chavez doesn't make GGG a superstar go ask fonfara or Sergio if you don't believe me. GGG only road to big bucks and superstar status is by fighting canelo. GGG has no leverage and is risking everything by not taking the offer and will look like the biggest fool if someone else beats canelo.
If you a GGG fan you actually better pray canelo doesn't lose. Otherwise he has no choice but to move up in weight or take high risk low cash reward fights. None of which get him the money or status a canelo fight grants.Comment

I wouldn't be shocked?? You should never worry about another man's money?? Hunter has zero stake in this fight. The only thing is maybe seeing his fighter get almost killed made him EXTRA salty. They are trying their darenest to get the public against Canelo? I just don't feel sorry for GGG thinking $15,000,000 is an INSULT??? Pac, Cotto, Canelo, and if Floyd comes back are the ONLY fighters that can demand that much. Ward just made $5 and Kovalev $2 million and most have them P4P higher than GGG.I think GGG's group is hoping public opinion will pressure Canelo and GB to meet their demands. I don't want to come off as a conspiracy theorist, but did K2 or Sanchez contact Hunter and possibly others and ask them to publically support their position? After all, Hunter has no dog in that fight.Comment

I would want the for SURE cash over potential. I could see one of them losing to either Jacobs or Chavez jr. And that potential ain't anything CLOSE to that anymore. Canelo is young enough to build himself back up. And plenty of good, GREAT fights at 154. Andrade, Charlo, Thurman, Spence jr. Down the road. Both very big Welterweights. MW division is TERRIBLE After Jacobs and GGG."Potential money" is in the range of something more than $15 million or zero.
