Hunter's comparison is silly (and he knows it). GGG is NOT the PPV superstar Pacquiao was. He knows GGG is not the PPV superstar Pacquiao was. Hates Canelo for some odd reason.

Hunter should stick to training his fighters, and just say "No comment".

The thing you have to ask yourself is, if $15m is a good offer (and was indeed the offer that was made), why would they diverge from the usual practice of dishing out a certain percentage of the purse to offer this deal in the first place?
I'm not buying it. This should be a simple purse division, based on the numbers I've seen: 65-35 in favour of Canelo in the North American market, with Golovkin getting a larger share of the license fees from certain other countries where he's the bigger star

Canelo is stalling and trying to avoid fighting GGG till he's over the hill, and he's hoping his fans are dumb enough to swallow his bullshit and blame Golovkin for the delay.

GGG is ****** for not taking the 15 mil. If that's the most that GoldenBoy is going to offer then that's it, take it or leave it. Canelo is the cash cow and is going to continue making huge paydays with or without GGG.
GGG obviously doesn't want the Canelo fight as bad as he says he does. GGG doesn't have time on his side. He's never going to make the big bucks without the Canelo fight.
It doesn't matter what Virgil Hunter thinks or says. It only matters what Oscar De La Hoya thinks because at the end of the day he's the one who writes the checks and he's the one who calls the shots.
Floyd avoided Williams and Margarito and prime PAC. Hasn't affected his reputation too much and his bank account not at all. Oscar probably talks to Canelo and says do what I say and not what I did if you want o maximize your earnings.
The 15M is less than what K2 wants but its enough to retire comfortably on if he gets net $5M plus all the previous and future earnings. We're talking about maybe $15M net in the bank account.
Golovkin not being able to speak English well is probably doing more harm to his long term wealth than not getting a split on Canelo fight. If he was American he'd have sponsor-ships coming out of his ass. If he spoke decent English he could probably earn $10M a year on sponsor-ships etc.

What Goldenboy needs to do is compare PPV sales after the Jacobs and Chavez fights. Then base the split off that....
I'm thinking Jacobs/GGG will habe around $250 buys with Canelo around 750.There's your split right there... 75/25% K2 doesn't like it then do your JOB and promote the sht out of your fight. GET more buys then.
