Golovkin should just take the money. How is he convinced that he's worth more than 15 million (not even counting PPV points)? If he murks Canelo, then he'll become a bigger star and thus able to demand bigger paydays on average anyhow.

I'm thinking Jacobs/GGG will habe around $250 buys with Canelo around 750.There's your split right there... 75/25% K2 doesn't like it then do your JOB and promote the sht out of your fight. GET more buys then.
That would make sense IF Jacobs brought the same number of fans with him as Chavez does, but he doesn't.

All boxing insiders, analysts, writers, commentators(Kellerman-Berstein-Lampley-Rafael-Breadman,etc... other trainers, even other Mexican fighters - Marquez/Chavez sr, G.Ramirez... all agree and have stated the obvious - Canelo is blatantly ducking GGG. Weight excuses.. Low-ball offers...marinate bs...Have yet to hear or read ONE notable expert or insider say anything different.

Why does Canelo owe Golovkin a big payday or anything else for that matter? According to Abel Sanchez, his trainer. and many others, GGG will make quick work of Canelo and anyone else he faces. Golovkin's own stated top priority is to win all the middleweight belts. He has already been offered $15 million for the privilege of rendering Canelo unconscious, why should he receive more and why do people like Hunter and others believe Canelo owes him more? If these folks feel GGG deserves more money, they crowdsource Golovkin's fights to augment his income. GGG should focus on his stated top priority and let's have all these folks stop whining. I say take the $15 million, knock Canelo out and move on.

Why does Hunter give one tinker's dam how much money Golovkin makes? I can understand GGG, Abel Sanchez and K2 groveling for more money, but Hunter and others who have no financial stake in the fight?

The B side fighter has to make sacrifices. He has to give in sometimes and GGG isnt doing that.

              Im with canelo here

GGG doesn't bring more fans then Chavez jr does. And I'm almost positive that when its all said and done Chavez probably won't clear $15,000,000. Canelo usually clears $15-25 million. Which is a 60/40 split between the fighters?? Realistic ly how much more do you think they can get out of Goldenboy??? Would it be more fair if they offered the same terms as Khan and Chavez are getting???

Canelo has made so far a CAREER total of $21.5 million not including PPV %

The flat fee is because the fight will be Alvarez vs Golovkin and not the other way around.

                  1. GBP will do all of the promotional leg work as K2 doesn't know how to stage a fight of this magnitude.

                  2. The majority of the projected ppv buys will be to see Alvarez. His fans. His haters. Casual Mexican fans.

                  3. Alvarez is the fighter taking on the challenge of moving up in weight class and thus the creator of the "buzz" for the fight. Think about is...no one is clamoring just to see Trip fight. They want to see him fight Alvarez.

From a financial perspective, Team GGG had a better negotiation position at a catchweight. At 160, Alvarez can find good fights against former 154 young guns that make money while Trip gets older.

That makes PERFECT sense to me??? Supposedly EASY work for GGG. Even if it goes 12 rounds that's $1.25 MILLION per round. Or or almost $500,000 per minute...If it's soo easy it could be more than $5 million a round or way more.

Hunter can see what Canelo and GPB are trying on and is calling them out. Just as Arum, JMM, Schaefer and others have recently.
