If Brook beats Spence then he is right up there with the winner of Thurman-Garcia in my opinion.

Pacquiao is still the best welterweight, though.

The Garcia vs Thruman fight is for the king of 147

Spence is not in his prime and doesnt have any notable wins on his record...it would be a respectable win for Brook

But all eyes are on Garcia and Thurman..and rightly so

People keep talking about Pac, yes fair enough, but he has to fight someone with a pulse next for me to give him any credit as the top 147'er

Well that's just not true. Now the winner of Brook vs. the Garcia-Thurman winner would be the best at welterweight.

Pacquiao is done fighting the best.

              And so it begins

Brook is already rated #1. Eddie Hearn said a month ago that he felt Spencer was a much tougher fight than Khan. So why are you acting like they are bigging him up after, when it's already been said long long ago?

I can't really argue against that.

If Pac insists on fighting the Jeff Horns of the world then it's going to be hard to justify ranking him as the #1 welterweight.

Not very sold on Pacquiao beating Spence or Brook, being honest I agree with Hearn, I think the winner of this clash is the top 147, why? because skillzwise I see Spence and Brook being better than both Thurman and Garcia, both offence and defense.

I think Pacquiao is still more than a handful for any 147 pounder in the world.

But if he refuses to fight the best then he deserves to drop in the rankings.
