HBO used to gush HARD on Mike Jones. They spoke of him like he was the best prospect in all of boxing -- like he was going to be the next superstar.

Then he got brutally stopped late by Randall Bailey (after winning virtually every second of the fight until the KO), and then boom, gone. Overnight. Jones has literally fought ONCE since that fight (which was also a loss), and that fight was FIVE years ago.

      that bailey uppercut doe

It wasnt the brits hyping him up, stop trying to rewrite history.

OT - Jermain Taylor, while it was dubious in both fights whether he actually beat Hopkins, the fact that he got 2 wins over Hopkins at the same time ending Hopkins run of defenses suggested that he might be the next star. But he went down fast after the Hopkins fights.

The David Price journey was pretty wild ride here in the UK

You have to give Amir Khan credit for being brutally exposed quite early - and more than once - but bouncing back every time. He could have been one of these fizzled out prospects but he had the self-belief to come back and build a solid career for himself

Broner is one of the most overhyped fighters in the past decade.

He only looked impressive against midgets when he starved himself to get to 130, and he got a gift against a light punching blown up featherweight with a stupid hairdo. Ever since he moved up in weight he's looked average at best and completely out of his league when he stepped up the competition. Figures your dumb ass would be on his ball sack. Moron.

                Deal with it b*tch

Broner has done more and taken more risks than the fighters you jockride.

Sure he got good boyed but i still though he could match most of the rest of the field
                  wrong

Austin Trout was never on the track to stardom here in America

Danny Geale was a star in Australia.

I'd say Juan Ma, Victor Ortiz, David Price

runner up Donaire? I feel like he was supposed to be next Filipino up after Pacquiao but that obviously didn't happen

Only thing is I don't "jockride" any fighters, ******. Don't you ever get tired of being wrong?
