Other fights have fallen apart over failed tests and I haven't heard of lawsuits being filed for damages. I would understand if this was the norm but this is the first I've heard of this happening.

Not sure that there has been a fight with this kind of purse and the level of magnitude of Wilder-Povetkin that fell apart due to PEDS. I'm not a fan of lawsuits but this cost Wilder a career high payday and I'm not sure I wouldn't have done the same thing he did.

What Wilder did was right, I'm not faulting that.... a bit surprised he got the full amount and subsequently wondering why other fighters/promoters don't do the same thing.

wilder might be the most annoying HW in the world with that bomb squad crap, but i'm glad povetkin and that ****** promotor of his are going to get pinched. the idea that somebody could fail a drug test and think the other guy is liable for pulling out of the fight is just crazy.

povetkin popping AGAIN didn't help his chances. and i'm not saying this is fair, but being russian and an athlete in 2017 basically starts you off with two strikes. the russian state was well involved with a huge doping scandal at the international level. you can't trust the russian state in regards to doping or establishing athletic commissions.

I don't think you can trust anything the Russian state does or says to be honest.

The Russian Olympics squad was a joke, multiple athletes got banned, the whole country should of to be honest. I think certain members of the committee got a lot of pressure from *****s lackys and they caved in and let most of it slide. The best one was there Paralympics squad where like 70% of all disabled athletes where on steroids lol.
