They are happy 2014 is in the past. Industry themselves contemplated Golovkin vs Ward... knowing Ward wasn't fighting a that time..

Maybe if you stopped thinking like a ********** and actually thought like a businessman for a second, you might actually understand that there is more to an offer than just the money part of it.....
We don't even know for sure how much money was offered, or what criteria had to met in order for GGG to earn it.

You don't take a flat fee in a fight like this, even if it is your highest payday. No one does, It's always a %.

GBP have threw out a curve ball knowing it will be quite rightly waved away, while knowing that there's people out there who will be willing to play dumb in regards to it. Both boxes ticked.

The only thing we know is that whether GGG accepts Oscar's offer or not, the fight won't happen till Sept, at the earliest.

We also know that Canelo and Oscar have twice told Golovkin they would fight him next, and they broke their word both times.

Even more reason to accept the generous offer and sign now. If the Jacobs PPV flops that offer might go down. If the Chavez fight is a success there could be a rematch in September. Get the fight signed now for if they both win.

even if we accept on faith that it is $15 million (I have only seen this number ONCE and that was in a comment in a Rafael chat), there could be financial terms about rematches, option demands, who knows what else?

But people that think like **********s cannot grasp the depth or complexity of what might be in that offer. Their eyes gloss over when they hear $10 million, or $15 million and all they can say is "but but but 5x more money doe"

I agree with this, GBP knew the flat fee offer would not be accepted. It's got some people convinced Canelo wants the fight and Golovkin is being greedy or difficult so their plan definitely worked.

exactly. A REAL offer would look something like this:

                  $5 million guarantee
70-30 revenue split in Canelos favor
Canelo keeps Mexico tv rights revenue
GGG keeps eastern europe tv rights revenue
                  no rematch language
                  no option demands
                  no escape clauses

THAT is what a real offer looks like.........

Because it's a waste of time thinking what "might" be. There might be a million things or nothing, it's common sense to come to an opinion on what is known.

its no more a waste of time than babbling on day after day about how you think it should have been accepted, even though you havent the slightest idea whats in it.

Hey, maybe its like *****care, and GGG has to accept it to see whats in it lolol
