The difference is that Pacquiao was the biggest draw in boxing at the time, with huge PPV numbers. Golovkin for all his accomplishments is unknown to the general public. Let's see how many PPV numbers he gets fighting Jacobs in New York City, a hometown guy in the biggest media market in the world. The fact is Canelo can make more money without Golovkin than Golovkin can without Canelo.

It's probably not just the money for ggg. He knows he deserves more. Canelo is a biiitch who ducked him and need to take care of that or forever be stained by that. No bs flat fee is getting him off the hook.
GGG still drives his 8 year old truck, spends all his time training.
If he feels like not taking 15 million, more power to him.
Someone should stand up to these A-side biiiitches.Comment

First, Canelo won't be that much of a legacy fight. Dude won't beat ggg, Andrade, Charlo, or any top MW or soon to be. Gingers team knows this.
GGG needs money for this. The legacy fights will be better than Canelo.
If they don't get 70/30 and don't accept it, most casuals won't give a **** why CaneloComment

I agree with you, no one should be forced to take a career high payday, Eubank did the same thing to GGG, that GGG did to Canelo.... more power to them.Comment
-
Let me get this straight....Eubank did this and he was what? Canelo fought Khan and he/you guys talked sh|t about that, GGG fights brook and and its cool, there are those double standards. So we no for sure, ggg doesnt want it as much as he says to you dimwits. So ggg is ducking and dodging and the excuses are comingComment

Asking for less than half of the pot in a fight where you are a p4p top fighter with three titles and the consesious number one dog at MW, isn't absurd.
People think ggg should get screwed because others did first.
That's ****ing ******. The guy is done getting screwed. He's seen as a beast even with these biiiitches Ducking and diving all over the place to get away from him.Comment

The diva still trying to convince people that she isn't scared after dropping the belt and moving "down" to 154 claiming she wasn't ever a 160 pound boxer, even though she is fighting at 165 now? Ah, the life of a coward must be tough.Comment

Clearly not a good enough offer, just like when Canelo held the WBC belt and was entitled to 70% of the money collected from the bout, he walked away. So I highly doubt the offer is anywhere comparable to that 30%. Besides that point, our opinion doesn't matter, clearly the offer wasn't good enough for him the fighter. When your promoter comes out and says "we made a flat fee offer take it or leave it" perhaps you should walk up to the mirror and look for unreasonable there.Comment
