And his subpar performances prior to that were due to what.....?

Some said Verdejo would win cause his style is more suited for the pros than the amateurs where he lost to Lomachenko. Seems like people who like this guy are always making excuses for him.

One thing I notice about Felix, is that he can be a one trick pony. All he throws are 1 and 1-2s all night. never adapts well when being challenged. rarely if ever does he put together 3 4 punch combinations. i think his opponents figure him out as the fight goes and know not to expect anything more than a 1-2.

What gets me is how much ink and fans Verdejo has considering what he hasn't achieved. Sosa is about to go life and death and he gets whispers compared to Verdejo. If it wasn't for Pedraza PR wouldn't have had a champion at all for a while, he came and went. Verdejo is starting to get stale on the vine, and his attitude is telling. There will always be critics? Like he doesn't mind.

He has two UD's and 2 Ko's in his last 4 prior to this fight. He's still outboxing everyone they put in front of him.

After a bad accident I think its to be expected you might have taken more than 1 backward step & might wanna take a couple more extra fights to get your feet back underneath you before stepping up big. So yea makes sense to wait a lil longer for a title.

This guy is barley getting by C level fighters and you want him to be fed to the wolves? Did this guy steal your gf in highschool or are you just an idiot?
