I am a Verdejo follower. This kid has talent...he just doesn't seem focused on his craft. The motorcycle accident was an indication of that. Sure, it will take a couple of fights to get the rust off, but after that he gets no breaks. He better find some discipline and fast or his career trajectory will flat line.

.........or a fighter that looked the part but wiggled his way out of fighting every quality opponent that presented themselves.

Sky sports fan? WTF are they? You and your cousin?

no i like verdejo, thats my point. Im saying, hes got the talent, give him an opponent hes worried about and he'll be more focused and we'll see him deliver. He doesnt need to train properly to beat these bums.

I didn't see this latest fight but I saw Verdejo a year ago in NYC against some Brazilian on the Crawford undercard...and he looked bad. It's amazing how many rounds he has where it doesn't look like he knows what he's doing. Also, quite inaccurate with his power shots. I wonder who he is sparring against? PR amateurs? They need to get him in a So Cal gym and see if he can hang with someone like oscar valdez, mares, Santa Cruz, etc in sparring. maybe he just isn't that talented
