Then fights Lara at Canelo weight for a close fight, and that was the last time Canelo took a real challenge. No days he fights fights where he is the CLEAR favorite. Dont live in the past. If you want to compare Canelo to GGG Then Canelo should be fighting the number 2 in his division, Jermall Charlo. No he is fighting a weight drain bum. He fights Layoff Kirland, Small Chinny Khan, weakest Champ Smith, Weight Drained Bum Jr, Old Smaller past prime Cotto.

FACT: Canelo fought the 4 best JMW's CONSECUTIVELY

the top5 JMW's were Trout, Mayweather, Angulo, Lara, Canelo

Canelo probably didn't win a single round against Mayweather, unless you go with the 114-114 judge. Trout and Lara he inched by, the latter result being debatable.

Meanwhile look at Golovkin. Also fighting top middleweights and basically making all of them quit before taking more punishment. Macklin, Murray, Geale -- all top rated. Everybody else simply avoids taking the fight against GGG. Now he's taking on everybody's #2 middleweight in Jacobs who has 12 straight knockouts. Canelo would never fight a dangerous guy like that. Never has, never will.

Wade was a top MW..#1 contender as a matter of fact.

Geale, Macklin, and Murray are the epitome of mediocre.

You're right about Canelito not figthing a guy like Jacobs....GGG didn't want to fight Jacobs either..he was forced to,after several delays.

Canelo won't even fight the big guys at 154 let alone 160.

At Middleweight 155? Like I said before you live in the past. I use to admire Canelo when he did that, but we are in the present. If GGG vs Canelo happen all it matter is their present condition, not the past.

Come on, man. You know that's because Golovkin was expecting to fight Canelo, who was talking big, saying he was ready to fight.

Golovkin has fought the best MW's that today's boxing has to offer, except for whoever ducked him. You can diss GGG for not moving up -- but he's always said he wants ALL the middleweight belts. Canelo represents huge money and the lineal title. And he and his people were saying they wanted the Golovkin fight. Please.

boxingitis accused Canelo of fighting bums

I pointed out that he was wrong

some of those guys were world-class

Golovkin fought Murray/Lemieux, and a bunch of no-hopers

golovtards should not question other fighters resume

that fight won't happen this year, Team Bullshht blew it when they failed to secure Canelo contractually.....

IF that fight happens..... Canelo be a world-class middleweight in his absolute prime..... and Golovkin will be old

..... don't bet your house on that fight willya

                  bullshht, he has not

why do you guys continually churn out rubbish like that?

the best opponents for Golovkin at 160 are Saunders, Jacobs, Lara, Canelo, Eubank..... ALL of those guys are better than Lemieux, so you're tripping

                  Jacobs is a good start

I think you have to give a guy some credit when he manages to get 3 of the 4 main belts in a division. Although he hasn't fought many top middleweights yet, he is at least about to take on a top ranked middleweight in Jacobs. I think it will be almost impossible for him to make big fights and hold onto all of his belts because of the number and frequency of mandatories that he will have even if he were to win. If he sticks to chasing Canelo it will either mean he'll have to drop a belt or else fight less than exciting mandatory opponents until the fight gets made.

Although I don't really rate Eubank or Saunders, one fight I would like to see is Golovkin vs Lara, however it is a little hard to take Lara's seriously when he is matched up with guys like Foreman, who unlike Wade was not a mandatory. I also wonder why Lara vs Jacobs was never made or discussed before either guy tried to fight Golovkin.

Keep paying for Canelos matches vs no hopers where is the clear favorite. Now fighting a weight drained bum.
