Let's deal with the first point, Kovalev invoked the rematch clause immediately after the fight. Ward KNEW the clause was in the contract when he and his team signed it. And on top of that, the fight happened all the way back in November, it's been damn near 2 months since then and only NOW Kovalev's team saying anything about Ward making a decision. So to say that Kovalev "wants a decision quickly" is intentionally dishonest at best, and downright ridiculous at worst.

As Ward's demands, you and other Ward defenders really should be as realistic about that as Ward should. Let's be 100, the guy has NEVER been a money making draw, even in his hometown of Oakland. And on top of that, HE got the bigger split of the money than Kovalev did for the first fight, DESPITE the fact that Kovalev was the champion and should've gotten the bigger split. At this point, you're not caping for Ward to have "more favorable terms", you're caping for him to be coddled. And that's bull****. I've been a fan of Ward since his performance in the Super 6 tournament, but I'm a fan of boxing FIRST & foremost, and his actions in regards to this Kovalev fight are INDEFENSIBLE, and he should be held accountable by his fans of all people.
So it's been 2 ENTIRE MONTHS and there have been no negotiations, so we must all panic, right? If the first fight didn't get the fans it wanted then an immediate rematch doesn't get anymore, however with the huge boxing slate of 2017, ward going to the U.K. to do more announcing more interviews and meet and greets, gain more exposure it seems logical that he is going to fight again soon or at least he is preparing for more limelight somehow.

On the other hand Kovalev just got back from vacation, has said that he will always be robbed by American judges (while next fight will most certainly be in U.S.), has done nothing on his end to try to clamor up fans to get them paid. You're speaking of honor and honesty, but use logic and business savvy. Ward just got out of the hardest fight of his life and is already marketing, not signing a contract immediately gives him time to add to the suspense. While whiny boxing fans clamored for may pac for years they made a world record gate through patience. Die hard fans aren't enough to get a fighter paid you need some crossover. If you don't have them, you gotta try to at least maximize your exposure.

Be still young man, when it is time you will know.

They'll fight again give it some time fans......

They have plenty of time to negotiate and it appears both men are on vacation so how could there be any negotiations. Both are world class fighters and I look forward to the rematch.

This is not a close fight in my opinion.

I just think Ward is overrated, and was exposed in that fight.

Kovalev is the better boxer IMO.

If anybody was exposed it was the so-called "Krusher"

Kovalev/Ward was only about 6 weeks ago

insinuating that the rematch should have been signed already, is just fanboy dribble

the world does not revolve around the LOSER of that fight

the f@gs who are crying, are doing so because, that is all they got

Ward will let you know when he has confirmed his decision

until then, develop some pride and STFU

in the rematch..... Ward UD12 Kovalev

the better fighter will make the better adjustments
