There's nothing Kovalev can do for Ward, dumbfcuk. He already took short money as the champ, and the rematch terms are set. Wards issue is with Roc Nation, they gotta overpay him massively again or he retires. Not sure that threat will work on them though

yeah but it can play it against ward too, its ward who is putting up all his chips, kovalev can match it and still have chips to go on if you know what I mean. Ward denies the bs offer he has to retire and with that giving up millions of dollars of future purses aswell. Where as kovalev just doesnt get a chance at payback but he goes on a keep fighting and making money.

I don't think Kovalev has any other options. He can't sell out arenas in the US by himself. Remember he fought Pascal in Canada both times. And I doubt any top fighter is going to fight Kovalev in Russia. He wants Ward and I think he'll get him.
