He wants to stay at 147 to keep the Khan fight on the table. WTF? Brook is a slow learner - that fight is not happening anytime soon.

Go up to 154, fight an easy fight to adjust, take on Liam Smith for British bragging rights and a decent payday and then if you win that look for a easy belt at 154. Maybe Jermell or whoever has the wbo once Canelo vacates.

What I don't get is why does the a Khan fight even have to be at 147? Khan has no belt and went to 155 for Canelo and Brook kills himself to make weight and went to 160 for GGG... Drop the belt and fight Khan at like 150-152 and the fight is still just as big in the U.K.

All that said, it's pretty apparent Khan doesn't want any part of that fight anyways.

Well let's be fair, Brook probably makes 5x the $$$ for those 2 fights rather than Spence... I'd kill myself to make weight if it meant making that much more money as well.

Excellent point...you killed it with that statement, never once did you hear Kelly say that making 147 would drain him when talking about facing Con or pac, you're absolutely correct! There's no championship fights for him at 154 where he would be favored to win, Kelly knows that he is very limited, his whole thing was to use his size against the other ww's, now that it won't matter against Spence and because Spence isn't a slouch, Kelly wants to act all brand new like he doesn't feast on weak mandatories, he's a hoe for that!

I believe Hearn has said that Brook has been having problems making 147 for some time now, but after going as high as 170 prior to GGG, 147 seems ridiculous, and Hearn doesn't want Brook to damage his body.

His body is magically fine with 147 when talking about a fight with Khan or Pacquiao doe
