No! He is too nice and doesn't do any talking so he will always be the nice guy.

Its always an issue getting to PPV level when you havent got big names to fight and introduce you to a bigger audience.

Crawford, Lomachenko are quality fighters and they are moderately popular but they are nit going to get you the exposure you need to really take off

I think he can crossover to the mainstream if he can get a Pac-Man fight before he retires. Sort of like what Oscar did for Manny/Floyd.
disagree. with pac, he has the personality. people loved him because he was seen as this goofy nice humble guy. with Floyd, he played the villain role, so people paid to see him fight in hopes that he'll lose. it takes more than just being an exciting fighter. you have to back that up when you're not fighting with your personality.

you don't really need a big name to become a ppv star. you just need to make a name for yourself. beating a big name is just the icing on the cake. if you have the personality and you carry yourself in a way that attracts more fans then sooner or later, you'll become a ppv star.

But you need the exposure to get your personality out there, unless you are just an extremely marketable person like a Tyson or Joshua more recently.

Even Mayweather needed names such as Gatti, ODLH and Hatton on his ledger before he really took off as a ppv behemoth. Each of those fights exposed Floyd brilliant skills and hateable personality to a new audience.

I just dont see who Mikey can beat that can get him that. Especially when the promoter he just spent 2 yearsbreaking away from has the two best fighters around his weight in Loma and Crawford.

If he keeps koing good opponents and moving up in weight then maybe he can idk. I wouldnt bet on it though

Mexicans will never support Mikey Garcia the way they supported the likes of Chavez, Marquez or even Canelo

Garcia was born in california, he's a mexican-american, aka chicano

chicanos are considered FAKE mexicans by mexicans, and they'll never get the same support as a born and bred mexican like Chavez or Marquez

chicano boxers are only supported by other chicanos

Oscar DLH's was never a mexican idol for a reason
they dont even count him as one of their own champs

The next big "boxing" ppv is probably going to involve an mma fighter. The boxing ppv game is changed and it's a hard sell right now.

Mikey can certainly make noise though, he has Mexican fan appeal and that's going to help a good deal.
