yes, but they have the personality to play their part once that happen. with Floyd, he was already going around calling himself "pretty boy".

he was molding his image. then after the big fight that's when he became "money may". mikey has yet to show me any of this.

mikey is pretty much like cotto. speaks very little and when he does, its straight to the point. no joking around or anything.

Manny has a whole country behind him, so you know he's always going to be supported.

Floyd struggled here and there to sale, he needed big names to break bank as Boom Boom Mancini stated. Some people payed to see him lose or to watch and support their fighter fight him. Floyd's "heel" image has already waned, ex. Berto fight, no one will pay for his "fights" anymore because they don't want to be ripped off, that's why he retired and now begging a UFC/MMA fighter.

Mikey's Mexican-American, that alone guarantees him a quick shot to PPV super stardom, regardless of personality. Mexicans love their boxing and people want to see great, action fights.

Pac gained popularity because he faced the best and biggest Mexican names at the time..who happened to all be going to the HOF... morales, barrera, JMM, and ODLH. ..and then you add Cotto with his PR fanbase, and Hatton with his UK fanbase... then that's that. He gained exposure and fans that way...He also had a high workrate, dynamic offensive style that was rare (like what we're seeing from Lomachenko)...Plus there's also 3-4 million Filipinos in the US and it was must see for many of them.

Mikey needs some rivalries who have huge fanbases... Not sure he has the 'x factor' for casuals. But hardcore boxing fans definitely appreciate his fundamentals and skills.

I think Mikey's one of the top 10 fighters in the world but ppv's are big rip off for boxing fans.

Mikey's winning very impressively and has the advantage of Mexican heritage. But he needs adversaries and he needs to beat recognisable names. I'm not sure where he's going to find them. Broner would be a great target for him for now.

Dinamita? I hope you are not talking about Juan 'Dinamita' Marquez, 'cause that fool is the biggest bum of them all.

Hate to break it to you, but Mikey is here - the new #1 P4P and new face of boxing.
