you are expecting someone to have a magic pill that will instantly undo 30 years of neglect. It doesnt exist. And Haymons pill wont work either. Boxing has no credibility with the masses, and until that trust with the consumer is rebuilt, all the "but but but it free doe" cards in the world wont make a dimes worth of difference......
Someone asking you to use your brain and speak less emotionally isn't exactly asking for a "magic pill". I merely asked you to provide any alternative to PBC'S model to grow the top end market and you provide zero.
PBC will get at least a $500k average across Spike, Fox/FS1, & NBC in 2018. That is a HELLUVA start and leagues better than anything anybody in boxing has come up with thus far.Comment

and if haymon's numbers are wrong and the promoter loses money, they are reimbursed. but there's no "profit" going in haymon's pocket. he makes his money from management fees. period.
band managers negotiate sponsorships all the time, but the money doesn't go directly in the manager's pocket, they make their money from the management commission they take on the revenue.
band managers negotiate overseas broadcast rights for concerts all the time, but the money doesn't go directly in the manager's pocket, they make their money from the management commission they take on the revenue.
and just like haymon did at hbo, his revenue source is his management cut. he's not skimming any money off the top. he is a manager. he has a fiduciary duty. you are accusing him of wide scale fraud with ZERO PROOF and ZERO evidence.
at least admit this is just a conspiracy theory you imagined out of thin air and you have nothing to back it up.
But there isnt.
And you dont.
I am surprised though that you actually acknowledge that the so-called "promoters" really dont have anything at all to do with generating the event revenue, and that it is Haymon that is making all the deals, and telling the promoter how much money he has to work with. And on top of it you acknowledge that Haymon will reimburse a promoter for any losses. So Haymon basically tells the promoter how much revenue is available, tells the promoter how much he is "allowed" to make, and eats any potential losses, but yet you claim with a straight face that Haymon does NOT have a financial interest in the event.
Its laughable, and I'm beginning to think that your brain doesnt function properly. And I had to save a screenshot of your post because its THAT funny.Comment

Sure, NBC "might" by boxing content again some day. But according to Rafael they were very disappointed with PBC and want nothing to do with it once the paid dates are done.....Comment

NBC paid $150k for low level boxing... they will definitely be willing to pay at LEAST that for higher level fights with a greater brand presence than what Main Events brought to the table.Comment

LOL. Wait... didn't Rafael write a September piece claiming PBC had run out of money? Now you want to use him as a credible source? Especially when everyone knows how butt hurt he is for being treated like a nobody by the PBC PR staff.

uhmmmmmm, I think I'll believe Rafael...........
No offense lol
but hey, if in fact NBC makes a new deal with PBC in 2018, feel free to come back and gloatComment

if my choice is between believing Rafael (who actually has access to the network players), and you (some anonymous guy on the internet who has more posts in the past 3 days than in the past 10 years),

You think small, aren't very intelligent, and basically represent the mentality of all the boxing promoters outside of PBC. It will be good riddance once HBO drops boxing altogether.
No offense LOLComment
