At the end of the day Hatton is a product like all top fighters and as such he is managed by a team and over-watched by the money men, he himself may want to fight Collazo purely to put on a better performance but I'm damn sure Billy Graham, HBO and his promotion team do not.

Collazo has made out he did Hatton this big favour by fighting him and therefore Hatton should replicate the favour, lets not forget that Hatton is the big name fighter and Collazo will have got a good pay day out of that fight, Collazo I'm sure has done enough to be rated as a contender for the future and I'm certain he will do well.

To summarise if you think Hatton is all off a sudden 'not honest' then you are foolish, he obviously made statements in the aftermath of the fight based on emotions not on business sense, it makes no business sense to fight Collazo again so I think it wont happen, like any business things are evaluated and decisions are made in the cold light of day, Hatton had an off night, it happens, but I'm certain he wont make the same mistakes again.

I dont think a rematch is going to build his popularity, which is his main goal in his next 3 fights. If he gets a fight with corrales, castillo, cotto or even judah next i think that will be a better move then the rematch with collazo.

relax baby, it was in reference to getting a gift on saturday, and already having someone whos face he doesn't want to see again in collazo.

pac is on a whole other level - he gets his **** split by morales and he does what? gets right back in the ****en ring w/ him and blasts his ass.

Style makes fight. Hatton's wrestling style, clinch the other guys arms while punching him at the same time didn't work against Collazo's slick-schooled style.

Hatton's scared of a rematch. He knows Collazo had him figured after the beggining rounds and Collazo hurt him in the final Round when Collazo himself should be tired and had weaker punches.

Hatton is a liar, and also a ***** right now. It doesn't match his 'aggressive, wrestling' style in the ring.

good point Mickey but if you cant fight the best(or in Collazo's case a very good fighter) because of a stylistic mismatch, then you're not really the best.Gatti is a very entertaining fighter with alot of heart, but will he go down as the best, no. I look forward to seeing Hatton again, his heart alone is enough for him to have a place in history, but he's not everything that people make him out to be, that's just my honest opinion.

I agree, maybe Hatton is not the best after all who knows but he is surely allowed to have the odd poor performance, Hatton took on a lot in his first USA trip as a Champion, he stepped up a weight, fought a slick tricky southpaw (when he finds southpaws awkward), he was coming off the back of being named the Sportswriters Boxer of the Year so he had a lot to live up to.
All of you who have experienced a situation with so much tension will agree that it saps and hinders you, that's how Hatton looked, he tried too hard to please and ended looking bad.
I do think he is everything he is made out to be though as us Hatton fans know the real Hatton, the educated fans never say he is the hardest puncher in the world or the best boxer, us that know him well only say that he is a great fighter who gives it all and never stops coming, thats why we like him, others have stated otherwise either for or against Hatton but not the educated Hatton following.
Hatton CAN beat all fighters out there given the right scenario but equally there are half a dozen fighters who on the night could beat Hatton, that's why we follow boxing, isn't it?

I like Hatton's personality and wouldn't mind him fighting castillo or corrales, but what do you expect Taylor got crap for winning but not pretty enough for ppl. So if he beat a legend twice(Hopkins) and receives slack and PBF for various reasons, then why shoulden't Hatton against a good fighter but not Elite? Plus alot of people felt he lost, and realisticly ppl said he would kill Collazo (Hatton Fans) so you know ppl gotta get on him for struggling as they would for any other "elite fighter". If he's that good ppl feel like he shoulden't struggle and almost get knocked out in te championship round when he knew the fight was close. This isn't hate just holding him to the same standards as the other top fighter's.

You bring up a very good point. Gatti while beloved for his heart and fighting style is not considered the best or really Elite. Hatton is beloved because of his heart and fighting style of non-stop aggression but is considered by some as the best and an Elite fighter.

We will have to see where he falls during his next couple of fights.

I'm wont be disappointed with Hatton not giving an immediate rematch to Collazo IF he fights someone really good next i.e. Castillo at 10 stones or one of the other top 147 pounds like Margarito or Zab even but someone that is still on the upside of there career so that we can quantify how good he does versus Top Competition.

I would be disappointed and look at Hatton differently if he takes on a cream puff for his next fight though.
