He should do the rematch, but if he doesn't then so be it. Retire like you said you would. Fighting anyone else besides Kov will be bad for his brand, IMO. IDC if it's Stevenson, Alvarez, Beterbiev etc etc. Unless he goes up to HW, not rematching Kov will be a bad decision.

The fight was close, Kov slowed up.. It was a highly discussed fight before and after the announcement of who won was made. Let's do it again. Create a rivalry, Dre

I'm not mad at Ward yet. If the rematch happens then what is there to be mad about?

But retiring, after signing the rematch clause and pouting because the media is criticizing you would be a hoe move and he's the one that used the R word, not me.

Don't talk about wanting to be the next Mayweather/Roy Jones then pull a stunt like that. They gave rematches when the public questioned their victories.

Ward should honor the rematch clause. I don't mind that he is making KOv and his team sweat and are playing mind games with "retirement" talk.

If he waits until Kov signs to fight someone else and then makes another fight, that would be a terrible look for Ward and I would lose respect for him because he is cheating the fans out of a fight we deserve to see.

However, it is fun watching all the Kov/GGG/guys cry and moan.

Save your kleenex' until he actually balks on the rematch.

Oscar and Joe are supposed to be HOF fighters...they didn't rematch important bouts.

Kovalev is in a tough spot. Ward has no problem "negotiating" and sitting out for a year. Kovalev wants to fight. I think the rematch happens in November, like last time.

Ward is better than both of them though.

So that's an excuse for them not rematching?

                  Come on now.

Can people stop bringing up GGG ? He has nothing to so with Ward or Kovalev.

Guess since Kov and GGG are both eastern european they are the same entity. Lmao

The public is demanding a rematch. To not rematch isn't a good look for Ward.
