I don't believe that at all.
Anyone paying attention to drug testing knows the supplement industry is crooked as f#ck & there have been numerous instances of guys who've popped for banned substances that they inadvertently took cuz they were in supplements that they weren't supposed to be in. This has been proven by independent testing to the same batch number of a product combat sports athletes have had in their possession.
Plus popping for a banned substance, taken inadvertently or not, can damage your image & these commissions don't seem to give a f#ck about logic with this sorta sh^t. If I had taken any medicine or supplement in the last x months I'd 100% have a PED/banned substance test prior to joining any VADA or USADA testing program for a fight to best protect my own career & image even being 100% clean to the best of my knowledge. And honestly just in case I think I'd get a clean test pre-signing up for testing regardless cuz who knows if there is more tainted meat or food products out there like the Mexican meat stuff that I wasn't aware of.
Thats the problem. I think there are 100% some fighters (not most by any means, but some) who've come up dirty, who've never taken a PED/banned substance knowingly cuz the banned substance list isn't the most logical list first off, but also because supplement companies add banned substances in low dosages to their products to help non-pro athletes, who are 99.9% of their customer base, see positive results that'll keep them buying their product(s).
