Golden Boy Promotions is planning a very big promotional tour for the upcoming HBO Pay-Per-View clash of Mexican superstars. Last Friday, a deal was finalized for Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. to collide at a catch-weight of 164.5-pounds. The fight is scheduled for May 6th, with the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and AT&T Stadium in Texas under consideration for the host venue.

this fight at the cowboys stadium would be awesome.

i think lucas comeback fight will be vs cano, they've talked about this fight a few times, and if they put it on the undercard for this event would be great. #VamosMaquina

This might was made for Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. This fight will do over 60K in attendance easy. Hell it might get close to the attendance for the playoff game.

In regards to the return of Lucas Matthysee I think a fight with Cano or Kamagei would be a good action fights. No way Golden Boy puts Lucas in a return fight with there Welterweight prospects such as Ellis, Gomez, or Gibson.

My guess also Francisco Vargas if he wins next week, Diego De La Hoya, or Jo Jo Diaz as well will be candidates for the undercard.

Diego De la Hoya will be in the event, no doubt about that.

How many times can one dude say Mexican or Mexico in one press release. I get it but damn they could be a little subtle about who they are selling to.

I hope the undercard does have some interesting fights though, not just names but guys in fights that actually move them or at least in fun fights.
